Emma Frost (The White Queen)
I'll do my best to avoid any pictures that cross the 'NSFW' regulations, but it won't be easy. This character is easily targeting heterosexual comic nerds with everything they've got. Luckily the wardrobe and tendencies of the character are all fairly justified so try not to roll your eyes too hard.
Her family life was, of course, rough. Her father was cold, ruthless and wouldn't go out of his way to offer emotional support or help of any kind to any of his two daughters and son. He was rich, bitter, and a bit violent if the moment struck him so. While most of Mr.Frosts' daughters competed for his affection (and with it, his money), Emma would go out of her way to please her father for other reasons. A normal teenage life.
Her telepathy emerged subtly but only added to tension at home with her father. She used her powers all throughout school, picking the thoughts and ideas of others and often not knowing it. With her ever excelling success at school she soundly decided a career in teaching was appropriate. When she told her father... he was naturally infuriated. Thinking the idea for teaching came from Emma's teachers, it didn't take long before he had most of them fired. Slowly Emma began to be affected by the rampant betrayals and deception plaguing her family life. When her sister and brother got her involved in the web of lies she began to spin the truth as a way to lash back at all the pain they caused. She black-mailed her father for his affairs, exposed her sisters secret modeling career, and informed the family that Christian (her brother) was gay. Upon hearing the news about his son, Mr.Frost had Christian's lover framed for drug-dealing and as a result Christian killed himself.
When it came time to claim a heir to the family fortune, and with Christian out of the picture, it was decided that Emma deserved it more than her sister. Outraged by this, Emma denied acceptance and decided to make it on her own with a savings of $400.
She left her pampered life-style and home to take up jobs as a sales-girl, dishwasher and other odd jobs that just weren't cut out for her upbringing. She fell on hard times and met a man named Troy, which, for awhile, turned everything around. Troy owned money to the local mafia (bad). Emma and Troy crafted the idea to hold a false ransom which involved holding Emma captive and having her father pay the $50,000,000 or she would be executed. Mr.Frost refused to pay and insisted his daughter meant nothing to him. Enraged and in a panic the fake hostage became real and Troy was shot and killed. Emma's sister used recordings of her father's statements regarding not paying the ransom to force him into paying it to the remaining captors to avoid embarrassment. Emma used the captors anxiety, greed, and mistrust to turn them against each-other and upon their deaths she escaped with the money to start fresh.
Along with her new life, Emma also adopted a new look - she bleached her hair blonde. At university, Emma quickly befriended her roommate, Christie McDermott, but it was two other people who would shaper her life for years to come.
One was a telepath by the name of Astrid Bloom. Though around Emma's age, she was much more skilled in the use of her powers, and she taught Emma new tricks, such as reading people's past memories instead of just their present thoughts, and how to speed-learn by piggybacking on other student's focused and organized thoughts when they were learning in the library. Later on Astrid would become so infatuated with the idea of mutant superiority and cause students all over the school to act violently and turn on Emma (who supported equality) only to end up being put into a perpetual coma from being mentally overpowered by Emma.
In the times that followed, Emma had no more scruples to use her mental powers for her own advantage and to take whatever she wanted. Parallel to earning her degrees in business and education, she attended the parties of Manhattan's high society with faked invitations. Standing next to the Wall Street elite, Emma mentally gained enough inside knowledge to make a fortune.
I'm gonna skip about 20 years into the future because it's hard to explain a lot without going into the back stories of 40 other characters. Emma later became one of the strongest telepaths in the world. Even stronger than Professor X (leader of the X-men). She could blink her eyes and people would drop dead as their minds were shattered without the least bit effort. Mind control was a novelty at best and taking over the minds of a few hundred people turning them into puppets was just about child's play. However. The majority of her telekinetic powers were channeled to keep up her misleadingly sexy yet fragile appearance and vanity came before violence. She would pose as a stripper, often to mislead her targets into giving her some cheap thrills and valuable information while staying off the 'mutant radar' of the public.
She was the epitome of a bitch. Put her father to shame both in manipulation and in net worth. She often didn't need to use her mental powers to sway or mislead people as her appearance lowered the defenses of most typical 'prey' and upon the death of one of the founding X-men, Jean Grey, she was quickly co-leader of the X-men and shacking up with Cyclops (Jeans husband). Her urge to manipulate and haunt people didn't even flinch. She'd take cyclops to bed and force him to see her as his ex-wife and when he begged her to stop she would only reply with "come on, I'm wearing your favorite costume.".
Later on, after serving in many battles, Emma would later be the target of a grand assassination which involved a lot of explosions and nuclear-esque strikes. As a warhead crashed down upon her home leaving nothing but a crater, Emma slowly emerged coated in what could only be described as 'organic diamond'.
Eventually learning the reasoning behind her diamond form, she later learned to control it's transformation at will; shielding her from any potential threats on a whim.
While it's hard to go into any stories of interest, she has actually panned out to be one of my favorite heroes/villains in Marvel but the true flavor of the character can only really be captured by reading hours and hours of story and plot-lines to see what a manipulative bitch she is and it's truly hard to convey how absurdly powerful she really is. She's ideal for the role of a villain but has done exceptional as a hero in later story-lines yet manages to pull off some jaw droppingly evil acts that leave you wondering how bad it would be if she actually tried.
I've always liked the fact that the smartest and deadliest human decided that vanity was on equal terms with power given the current state of society and how people operate. Instead of being able to mind control 1,000 people at once she rather have them all see blue-eyes instead of brown and instead of vaporizing a bus of orphans into a fine, bloody mist she rather be 3" taller with no love-handles. Regardless, being able to turn into diamond and shatter someones mind at will; she remains one of the most brilliant mutants to grace the pages. Even if she cheated to get there.
I'll edit for grammar later. Maybe remove some pictures to avoid insane scrolling.
