Although I don't think he should be refused, I admit I'm a bit disturbed by the situation. I mean, I guess it's no worse than other potentially harmful exposures during pregnancy--still.
If anything, doctors should be more supportive in providing intensive care and regular checkups. If this is to become more common, we must understand how it will (or won't) affect the fetus..
When I was in 3rd grade I told my classmates about a vaguely similar scenario. After I found out about cryogenics/IVF I told them you could save your own cum, get a sex-change and impregnate yourself! Now, just the question of making your own eggs.
Doctors are there to make money ;)
