Found this on Hardocp today, could be fairly interesting. On the other hand, i have seen cds fly apart before, ones that were seemingly still fully intact and balanced. Having one of these around could be like a mini-death machine complete with shrapnel.. not to mention it could be hard on the fingers.
FP, 1k credits, blah blah...
Reminds me of the whole "build-it-yourself" Cintiq:

The amount of time he spent on it he could have worked to save up for a real one. Never underestimate the power of work ;)
In other news, my own Cintiq 12wx will be here today!! Joy of joys.
I think Noggin's pissed at me because I don't even deserve one. I mean, it's a bit like buying someone who can barely use the microwave a fully-featured kitchen with $1000 of professional appliances. It's bound to ruffle the feathers of an actual cook who must go without ;)
I'll take plenty of pictures while unpacking it. =)
Pity I'm stuck at work for the next 7.5 hours.
I dont know how many of us have a small engine laying around the house with which to power one of those fans though. It would certainly be a 'wow look how creative i was' sort of things. Myself, i wouldnt want to plug any power-hungry device that i wired myself into my usb ports on my computer. Not because id do the wiring wrong, but because power is supposed to come from the wall, not your computer.
