Woah, everything looks so much cleaner. Is this wordpress? I miss having something to look at on the left-hand side of the site, but other than that, I like the clean, efficient design. Maybe you can place ads on the sides and monetize this site.

The entire content management system is my own creation from scratch.
The actual code of it hasn't changed much with this new design, as it was somewhat designed to be able to get face lifts like this =-)
I guess it would work better if it didn't close when I right-clicked a link in it... I liked being able to open a bunch of links in one quick burst and then read through them...
Do NOT mind the personalization though, thanks ^.^
There seems to be an awful lot of room on the sides of blank gray. It's probably just my resolution but is there anything that can be done about that? Seems like all the center stuff gets squished together.
Some pages are fixed-width, others (like the Anime Manager) are fluid and will resize with the page.
We chose to optimize certain pages for 1024x768 using fixed-width. It's possible we may add a second theme for the forums to let you choose fixed-width or not, however it would be very low on our priority list ;)
I prefer fixed-width since it makes text a lot easier to read. It's difficult to read long horizontal text that basically causes all paragraphs to be flattened.
I fixed a bad bug with IE and the new design which was related to the forums.. But I'm worried I may have created more problems that aren't apparent.
If anyone (IE or Firefox alike) notice any problems with the forums, let me know.

Since you're not the first one to ask for this I've made it so the drop down menus do not close when you click. So you should be able to do this now.
The downside is that the only way to close them is to click the X button (or load a new page in your current window/tab).
1: I enjoyed the changing color themes and new top images every day.
2: New posts link from the main page was very handy.
3: Lefthand menu for quick multiple link navigation.
Things i dont like about the new site:
1: Drop down menus slow down navigation since they close after every click. Making them not friendly to power users. And i just dont like hunting context menus anyway.
2: Site has a rendering issue for me when loading any youtube content, which makes the front page partially unreadable near the top (right over the first post usually) until it finishes loading. This often lasts 10-20 seconds. (The error brings the 'contact us' box which is supposed to be at the bottom of the page, and puts it right in the center of the first post while 'contacting www.youtube.com' displays in the status bar till it loads fully, then it moves down.)

I think its not a bad place to start from, i think resolving the drop down menu issues would probably fix most of my issues with the new layout. In particular, if middle clicking/right clicking on the recent posts and recent articles took you to a page that displayed them similar to how the forums does, that'd work out a bit more nicely.
I hate to say it, but i changed my bookmarks to bypass the front page entirely and go straight to new posts in the forums since that way i get all the new content, on one page, from one link, and dont have to mess with the menus, or wait 20 seconds for the loading issue to go away so i can view the first post.

^^ it's under "Recent posts" now.

^^ It doesn't do that any more.

^^ I'm working on this. Once cached it's not an issue though so if it's still happening you have a caching problem.

It's not wordpress, LiQUiD built the system from scratch (aside from VBulletin, of course)

I guess we can add the drop-down box that's on the main deadgod.net page. That good enough? :P
You just don't like change ^_^
