Okay, you caught me, I enjoy frogs.

"Normally, frogs would croak to get their message across but it's too noisy," she said. "An extra mechanism they've evolved is to wave to each other."

The Panamanian golden frog communicates with other frogs by semaphore in the form of gentle hand waves.
It has evolved the mechanism to signal to rivals and mates above the noise of mountain streams.

Just after filming was completed in June 2006, the location was overtaken by the chytrid fungus.
Scientists were forced to remove the remaining frogs from the wild and keep them in captivity.
Hilary Jeffkins added: "The whole species is now extinct in Panama - this was one of the last remaining populations. Its final wave was in our programme."

The footage taken can be seen this upcoming monday in the Life in Cold Blood series, at 2100 GMT (bbc 1).

The population had all but disappeared because of a fungus that grows on the amphibians' skin and suffocates them.
The film crew was disinfected - to stop them from carrying the disease - and managed to capture unique footage of the frogs in the wild.

Also, I think I will take this time to post a picture of my former frogs! (May they rest in peace.)
Hopefully getting new ones sometime soonish :\
They were a type of poison dart frog found in South America.

Dog likes ferret.. Cuteness ensues.
Old people like ferrets.
Ferrets are not afraid of you, Cat! ..Or.. Come play with us!
And ferrets are nowhere near as cute as cats. Sorry. :)
But you can't beat cats. I am a cat fan. I might be picky, but so it goes.
I can't say I've ever been so much a fan of frogs, I consider the species extremely interesting but a toad has never wiggled its way into my heart enough for me to consider it for a pet. Plus I don't know what they eat. Mealworms? Crickets? I refuse to handle such things, it's why I don't have a sexy leopard gecko right now (the ones with the amazing dinosaur eyes!)
When it comes to the Reptiles-and-Amphibians category, I am much more in favor of snakes. Which I will get one day. *resists urge to post gorgeous snake pictures*
(ps- thumb)
HOWEVER.
(waithowdoIpostimagessss OK)
This is my FAVORITE. It's called an eyelash viper, and incidentally I'm not sure if it comes in any colors other than yellow. (Upon further review, it seems it does, but they're all vaguely uninteresting shades of brown and I admit, I like the flashier variety.)
Another. I am in love with those eyes.
That being noted, I've been intending to get a corn snake for a long time, and I learned you can get ones like...
That's a butter corn. I'm assuming since it's the one pictured on the site, that they're not ALL that gorgeous, but I'd be willing to take my chances. The one I'm debating getting as well, is
A yellow creamsickle. (That's a baby!)
I want a vibrant and rich color yellow, and they seem to be mutually exclusive: The creamsickle has a better color overall, but the butter stands out more. I've literally spent hours clicking back and forth between pictures via google to figure out what color I want, and after about 5 years of wanting that sort of snake I STILL DO NOT KNOW. Indecision at its finest!
A little extra randomness:
(BABY!)
(Eat your heart out, Glass.)
Also, what the hell is THIS thing? Seriously, the wonders of google search enlighten me to all new frightening wonders.
