Fuck. You.

Yeah, I know why you're doing it, and it's for none of the reasons you lay out in that article. It's for one amazingly simple reason:
You don't like change.
Nobody likes change. I know. But fuck you if you think you deserve to be the exception. The world changes. The economy changes. Adapt or die. Your employers don't want to pay you the same way they did in the past? That's an issue between you and them. If you don't like it, quit. I suppose you can even, you know,
strike if you think you're incompetent enough to get what you want on your own.
But don't fucking expect anyone to care about you. Or support you. Or do anything but mock you, really.
You think you're entitled to an exemption from change. You think you should be compensated in the same way forever. You're selfish enough to believe you should continue to be paid in the present for work you did in the past.
Fuck. You.
If they don't like it, quit. Or, like I said, even strike--I don't care. But why should they expect anyone to care? Or pity them?
They feel entitled to something. That's what pisses me off.
Generally when you are striking, you are trying to make someone care that you are not doing your job. Yet your rant is about them expecting anyone to care? But you think its okay for them to strike. And striking is generally to get someone's attention. Though you dont care if they strike, as long as they dont get any attention. Ad nauseam. :P
It dosnt bother me that they are striking, or any of the associated connections to that. What im curious about is why their employers dont want to pay them for the 'new format' even if its the same content that they are already getting paid for on a physical medium (or even television.) Same product is still being sold.
