Look, it's not the government's job to preserve jobs. That's bullshit. Yeah, yeah--everyone feels sorry for that sad unshaven family man that loses his job and can't make ends meet. Poor little man.
Seeing him unable to acquire any new skills almost lets you forget we live in an era of insanely low unemployment. Opportunities abound. Why would anyone think we need to preserve skill-less textile work?
It's the same argument the RIAA is using--save our jobs! Save our business model! Bullshit.
By that logic motor vehicles should have never been created since they put everyone in the horse and carriage industry out of business.

I like the way he phrased his answer though, regardless of merit. It's just political strateejury and common sense just isn't common enough to make witty comments like this null and stupid.
Although the thought of calling 911 because a Starbucks is being built near my coffee shop is enticing
